The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is working on the bill on land register.
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, made the foregoing statement in the interview to "Vid Pershoyi Osoby" program (Era Radio).
"I am convinced that it is a key document, as we shall take stock of the unregistered land and land ownership, raising the price of land, first of all for agricultural lands", stated V. Lytvyn. "The relevant bill shall be thoroughly drafted."
The bill being adopted, another issue, namely, land market, should be regulated. However, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada informed that no bill on this matter has been registered in the Parliament.
V. Lytvyn declared, "Any talks concerning existence of the land market are out of the question, as the land market exists in the shade." According to Volodymyr Lytvyn, this issue is of utter importance for the capitalization of land and its real value assessment.
